I am the Polar Sales Manager here at Natural World Safaris. I caught the travel bug when I was just 19 and decided to grab my backpack and jump on a plane to explore the sights and sounds of Canada. Since then I have travelled to many weird and wonderful countries, including South America where I was lucky enough to visit the Amazon basin in Peru, staying at a unique eco lodge where we were treated to flocks of Macaws flying over our ceiling-less lodges.
My passion for wildlife and travelling lead me into getting a job as a travel consultant, tailor-making any kind of holiday from luxury honeymoons to adventure safaris and to help others experience the beauty of the natural world that I had been so lucky to encounter. My passion for polar bears continues to grow and I am so thrilled to be able to send fellow wildlife lovers on small ship expeditions to the Arctic north where they can experience the ‘King of the Arctic’ up-close and personal on the pack ice!
Is there a standout destination in your mind?
Anywhere in the high arctic! The ice glaciers are literally breathtaking!
If you could do just one NWS safari, which one would it be?
I would love to see polar bears, narwhals and belugas in arctic Canada so the Baffin Island & High Arctic Discovery safari would be insane!
Aisle or window seat?
Window seat every time! I love watching the ground disappear as you prepare for your next adventure….. (plus I have been known to sleep very well in a window seat!)
What is your best travel souvenir?
My nautilus shell from Nanuku Island in Fiji.
Do you have any travel habits or rituals?
A Peroni at the airport.
What’s your favourite thing about working at NWS?
I enjoy being able to send people away on incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trips where they will experience unbelievable wildlife viewings, creating memories and stories that will stay with them forever.
