Here at Natural World Safaris, we take pride in putting you in the right place at the right time to maximise your wildlife encounters. This is at the heart of everything we do, at all levels of the business. Our team have lived, worked and travelled across the globe, and together we have the requisite knowledge and experience to plan the perfect safari for you.
"Specialist" tour operators are not so specialist anymore in today's day and age, but we believe our wildlife-centred approach is unequalled in the industry. Whether it's photographing polar bears on the remote archipelago of Svalbard, tracking the elusive snow leopard through the Himalayas or bringing you face-to-face with endangered lemurs in Madagascar, we craft itineraries that will leave you with unforgettable wildlife sightings.
Although technically a "tour operator", we like to think of ourselves as more of a "travel outfitter". Our salespeople aren't salespeople - they're Destination Specialists, each one an expert in the regions that they work with - and the trips we create are designed to bring you as close to the natural world as possible, no matter what it takes. This means that luxury is not always a given. You can't book a package holiday to Mallorca with us, but you can join us on a journey into the extraordinary.
The Natural World Safaris story began over 10 years ago, when our MD Will Bolsover set up a small travel company by the name of World Primate Safaris. This niche enterprise was born from a passion for primates that Will had developed over many years guiding in Africa, working in countries like Gabon, Uganda, Rwanda, Cameroon, Madagascar, the Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, to name but a few.
From here, World Big Cat Safaris and World Bear Safaris were established, two companies which maintained the wildlife experience expertise that brought clients of World Primate Safaris in touch with our closest living relatives. In 2013, all three companies were brought under the banner of Natural World Safaris, a move which consolidated our specialist knowledge bases and allowed us to expand into many more destinations.
Today NWS is a global brand that retains its niche focus, designed to bring people into close contact with iconic wildlife species across six continents. We don't specialise in specific countries like other companies do - instead, we can take you to over 40 different destinations worldwide, focusing always on the wildlife experience. No-one else had taken this approach to travel before, and we remain at the forefront of natural world travel to this very day.
Our specialist expertise is spread across the globe - speak to us to start designing your ideal wildlife safari.
Our Destination Specialists
We pride ourselves on our expertise throughout the office. Although it's not always possible for us to have visited every single lodge or park within each destination that we sell, we're getting there! The majority of our Destination Specialists have all lived or worked in the destinations that they specialise in, giving them an unparalleled insight into the workings of each individual destination, and more importantly, the wildlife within. We have ex-guides, we have ex-lodge managers, we have ex-destination managers and we have ex-conservationists. All of this expertise forms an integral part of Natural World Safaris and the level of expertise that we like to offer our clients to ensure a truly unique journey into the extraordinary.
Our conservation efforts
We have been told we should sing and shout about this more – but we don’t want to. Whilst some of our competitors profess to be experts in this arena, we do not. Conservationists are best at conservation and travel outfitters are best at travel. What we try and do is do our best to blend the two together wherever and whenever possible. We work with grassroots projects in each destination, to ensure that our financial contributions go directly to those enterprises in need, rather than being lost in the world of non-profit organisations. Some of our key partners on the ground include Rwanda's Gorilla Doctors, TOFTigers in India, the Kianjavato Lemur Project in Madagascar, the Ocean Heritage Trust in Sri Lanka, the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, and more.
Our offices
Our brand new offices are based in the cosmopolitan seaside town of Brighton, just a short walk from the seafront. Although we are based in the UK, over 25% of our clients are based in the US, as over the years our clients there have truly appreciated the wildlife expertise that we have to offer. We also have strong client bases in Australia, Europe and the Middle East. To facilitate bookings for clients based outside of the UK, we can process payments in GBP Sterling, US Dollars and Euros.
