Spend 10 days on this small group tour heading through Botswana staying in fully serviced en-suite tented camping, throughout the Moremi Game Reserve and exploring the fringes of the Delta by mokoro, explore the Khwai floodplains during the day and night looking for elephant, lion and leopard. You'll head to Chobe to end this trip, taking a boat safari and potentially heading on to Victoria Falls.
Day 1 - Maun - Moremi Reserve
On arrival into Maun Airport, you will be met and shown to your onward flight to the Xakanaka airstrip. Your flight will take you over the renowned Okavango Delta; this will be your first view of the are as you will be exploring over the next few days. You will be met by your guide at Xakanaka and transfer to your camp. If time permits you may be able to go on your first game drive!
Days 2 - 3 - Moremi Reserve
After an early morning hot cup of coffee, you will set off on your morning game drive into the Moremi Reserve. This is one of the best areas of the Okavango Delta for wildlife. Open areas of water and savannah provide hunting grounds for prides of lions and watering holes for herds of elephants, whilst the tree line camouflages leopards. Other inhabitants include wild dogs and cheetahs. You will head back to camp in time for lunch and after you have had some time to relax you will head out on your evening game drive.
Day 4 - Moremi Reserve - Khwai Community Reserve
Today you will be driven to the Khwai area of the Delta (approx 3-4hrs drive). The Maunuchira Channel is known as the Khwai River at its eastern-most extremity. The day’s journey follows this water course, with the tr ack weaving from the riverside and floodplains into the mopane veld and the woodlands that make Khwai one of the most scenic areas of the Okavango. You will pass the magnificent Dombo Hippo Pools in the morning where you will stop to enjoy the scenery and the antics of the resident hippo. Leopard, cheetah, serval and wild dogs are resident in this area and if you are lucky, you may be able to spot them along our journey.
Days 5 - 6 - Khwai Community Reserve
Over the course of the next few days, you will spend your time between the dryland habitats of the lead-wood and camel-thorn woodlands, and the savannahs and the riverside and marshy back-waters of the Khwai. Time permitting; you may be able to visit the lagoons and waterways of Xakanaxa where the largest heronry in southern Africa exists. There is excellent predator viewing in this area as well as fantastic bird viewing including the rosy throated long claw. 4x4 game drives, walking safaris and night drives are all on the agenda over the course of these days.
Day 7 - Khwai Concession - Savuti (Chobe National Park)
Today we head further north on our way to Chobe National Park (4-5 hours) and our exclusive wilderness campsite in the Savuti region of Botswana. Passing through excellent lion and cheetah territory you can expect an exciting day. A chance to relax upon arrival or enjoy your first game drive (time permitting).
Days 8 - 9 - Savuti (Chobe National Park)
Two days to enjoy this wildlife-rich region on game drives and Bushman Painting Walks. This region is renowned for its elephant and lion interaction as it is inhabited by a large resident pride of lions numbering 20-30 members who have perfected the art of hunting elephants. The marsh region is also perfect cheetah territory with wild dogs also being spotted in the area during the wetter months.
Day 10 - Savuti - Chobe River
An early departure from Savuti to travel along the Chobe River arriving into Kasane. From here we enjoy an afternoon boat cruise to see what riverine fauna and flora you can spot and if you are in luck, even see some elephants crossing the mighty Chobe River!

Each area is chosen for its natural beauty and the accessibility to diverse wildlife habitats for great sightings. The camp itself is wonderfully comfortable, each tent has an en-suite bathroom and despite being in the heart of some of Botswana’s wilderness, you can enjoy some of the most fantastic cuisine.
