Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Located north of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, on the western edge of the Kruger National Park, Timbavati Nature Reserve is teeming with wildlife and is home to all of the big five as well as over 40 species of mammals and 360 species of birds. It is renowned for its white lions, who were discovered in the mid 1970's to exhibit a natural phenomenon called leucism, where the fur is white but the eyes and skin are pigmented. If you're lucky enough, you will be treated to a rare glimpse of these incredible animals. Enjoy your days on game drives from your lodge and guided walks. We love this reserve because of the quality of guiding, fewer vehicles and larger herds than in neighbouring reserves.

Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

The oldest and most established of Kruger’s private game reserves, the Sabi Sands sits adjacent to Kruger National Park on its western border and, with no boundary fences, the wildlife is free to roam between the reserves and the park.
