Arctic Haven Wilderness Lodge

The Arctic Haven Wilderness Lodge is open from April through to September, bringing amazing experiences to each of their guests. There are twelve rooms available at the lodge complete with everything that you need to have a truly relaxing stay- almost a home from home. One of the many attractions which bring visitors to the Yellowknife area of Arctic Canada is the annual Caribou migration which literally takes place on the doorstep of this lodge. Witness 350,000 Quarimjuaq caribou make their yearly trip; as well as the wolves who know exactly where the route in which the caribou embark upon.

Setting

Situated on the Ennadai Lake directly on the peninsula; east of Yellowknife just on the treeline, where there is deep forestation to the south filled with spectacular flora and fauna.

Accommodation & Facilities

Each of the 12 en-suite rooms provides a tranquil place for you to return to after an exciting day of exploring. These simple yet comfortable rooms are equipped with both electricity and internet as well as all of the amenities you will need throughout your stay.

Dining

All meals are included at the Arctic Haven Wilderness Lodge. The menu is comprised of locally sourced meats, vegetables and fish, including Arctic char. Dinnertimes are the perfect setting in which to come together with your fellow explorers and exchange stories on your exciting adventures you’ve embarked upon earlier in the day.

Activities

There are ample opportunities for hiking around the dramatic landscape of the Arctic Haven Wilderness Lodge. If you are fortunate enough to stay during the caribou migration you will have the amazing opportunity to witness some of 350,000 caribou which pass through the wilderness lodge, you will even be able to photograph them swimming across the water. For the thrill seekers among us there is the option of kite-skiing, dog-sledding and snowmobiling (during April and May) as well as kayaking, boating and world-class fishing.
